In June 2013 the new exhibition hall was opened in Moclinejo next to the town hall. It was opened in honor of Antonio Sergovia Lobillo and is based on an agreement with the "Antonio Sergovia Lobillo" association. The exhibitions change every 2 months. Images and paintings by motifs and painters of the Axarquia are shown.
Antonio Montañez, known as Gaudi of the Axarquía, has the Casa Museo Axarquia in El Valdés, in the municipality of Moclinejo in Málaga. This carpenter, businessman and former cultural councilor of Moclinejo, built this museum with demolition material and exhibits agricultural implements that are no longer needed, as well as paintings and sculptures by artists from the Axarquia.
